job interview (1)..

Just got a job interview on Friday. Honestly, it was a scary moment for me because this is my first job interview. And right in that moment, I really feel that I’m not in my comfort zone anymore…

Well, i got a phone call on Wednesay night, the person in phone said that I have to go to the Bank for an interview on Friday. Right after the phone call ended, I automatically send out a SMS to my friend ” H”. Since I reckon her as an expert I started to asked her a lot of job interview. To be honest, I take this job opportunity just for fun. I mean, I already planned to continue my school again so basically I got nothing to lose. But still, deep in my heart I want know how good I am.

Narcist ?Nope…that’s not what I think my feeling is. You know, after 3,5 years I spent in university, I really want to know if all the time that I have spent is doing me any good. That’s my only reason. Back to the interview, I have to go to the Bank at 8 oclock sharp.
So, on Friday, woke up at
6 am i then chose the right suit ( Well, I sort of believe that a right suit can make myself comfortable..)- the at 7.15 I took of from my house. Arrived at the bank at 7.45 – great i still ahve plenty of times to calm myself.

A coincidence there, I met my old friend from the university. Hm..not a “friend”actually. I never like her. Well, at first I feel nothing againts her. But, somehow she take me as a competitor and did a nasty thing to my friend. So, from that moment I feel different towards her. Apparently, she already got a call before. So, I asked her to tell me what was the interview like. From her explanation, I started to feel calm…but still, I still a bit afraid. Then 8.30 am, the manager of the Bank called me. So, I quickly stood up and walk to the room with him.

Arrived at the interview room, I greet Mr. “Dj”. Then, he asked whether I’m able to sepak Javanese or not. For your information, Javanese is also a languane, but its not an official languange in Indonesia. It’s a local languange. Then, I answered ” yes “. But, oh well…Mr. “Dj” didn’t speak Javanese even a bit..that made me nervous even more. As a person born and grow in Surabaya,it will be hard not to slip on some of “javanese Vocabulary ” when we are in a conversation. And it’s not good.

The summary of the job interview ? Mr. “Dj” only asked a regular questions like :
1. Why do you want to work in a bank ?
2. How much salary do you want ?
3. Have you been working before ?
4. What’s your final project about ?

If you think that it’s an easy question…well, for me it wasn’t that easy. Because of the nervous thing. Blah!
At the end of the interview, he said that this interview doesn’t mean a thing because what really decide whether I got accepted is the physiological test.

Still interested about the job result ? The anser I will addin the blog later. Since I have to wait for the 2nd phone call that tell me when I have to take the test..:)
