Oh The Guilt..(1)

•May 14, 2007 • Leave a Comment

Everyone always got one guilty pleasure..Hm,perhaps a lot of guilty pleasure. .I got a lot actually. But, I will mention one this time.

Remember F4 ? Ok, if you don’t know bout them ( altough I know that you know them ) I will tell you. They are a boyband from Taiwan, consists of Jerry Yan, Vic Chou, Vaness Wu and Ken. At first, they started their career with playing in a film called “Meteor Garden “. How bout the film ? It’s sucks. You can see that thye can barely act. But, that time I used to watch it all the time and I even buy the full set of the VCD. Once this boyband has a concert in Indonesia, luckily I didn’t watch them. Because some of the peoples said that the concert is bad, and they barely can sing. Why I got attached to them that time ? Ok, that time i think that they are handsome…blah..and their songs is so cheesy and easy listening.

Now, when I look back at that time. I feel a bit ridicolous to be crazy about the series. I think I was a fool that time. Oh ya..to make it even worst I also collect their Group CD and their personal CD. To be honest, I still be able to sing one of their song..hehe..I guess F4 is definetly a guilty pleasure..

My Aerobic Class..

•May 14, 2007 • Leave a Comment

After 1 month absence, I finally get back to my routines. I go to aerobic class again every morning. At first, I find it extremely hard since in 1 month, I always sleep in the middle of morning. Yep, sometimes at 3am or 4 am in the morning, so it’s hard to open up my eyes when the watch shows 7.30 am in the morning.

But, I got no choice after all. If i don’t go to the aerobic class, I got one thing for sure. My mom will mad at me because she think that I’m lazy. And if i said that I’m too sleepy, she will definitely angry at me even more because it’s just an excuse to avoid the fact that I’m lazy.

Let me tell you, my first experience in the aerobic class. Before join the aerobic class, I used to go the gym. I’m not so comfortable there. Mainly, because all the peoples there (women ) wear a very tight shirt and pants. Me ? Well, I just wear a short and a t-shirt.. I can say, I might look weird there…

In my aerobic class is pretty the same, the difference might be all the people who are in my aerobic class are old people ( around 40-50 years old ). but, they are all wear a sexy suit. Me ? Yep I still stay the same, but this time I improve a bit. I wear tight pants and  t-shirt. And despite the fact that most of the peoples in my aerobic class are older than me, they have a very strong stamina- that case I have to give them an applause.  It definitely show that being old doesn’t mean that you are weaker then the younger one.

One thing that make me happy after I’m going back to my routines is ; I can control my weight easily. Usually, I can gain my weight so fast. But because of the routines I got, now my weight is kind of stable. So, nothing wrong with trying to stick to the routine and try to avoid your lazy habit… :)

Boyz II Men feat Agnes Monica

•May 13, 2007 • 2 Comments

This is an exciting news. Yes, probably some of you will think that Boyz II Men is not a hit anymore since their golden era sees to have passed several years ago. But, for me..they are still a legend. Their song is great and they really have a great skill. And for Agnes Monica, I think that this is a great chance for her to show that Indonesian also got a great singer. And if BOYZ II Men doesn’t know about Agnes or indonesian singer..I believe this will bring a lot of positive..:)

I got an information, that Agnes is not only singing 1-2 songs.. but she will do a concert before Boyz II Men appear. In my opinion as a person who has watched Agnes Monica live – it won’t be a waste of money. Agnes is the type of singer who not only sing, but she also dance and she always has a concept, so you won’t get bored. . This concert is so worth watching.

From Detik.com ticket box, they have sold out all the available ticket. So I can say that this concert is going to be successful :)

Indonesian Open Super Series 2007

•May 13, 2007 • Leave a Comment

It’s now official that Indonesia don’t win any title in the Indonesian Open. It’s a bit sad actually. Last year, the Indonesian Open was held in Surabaya and the situation obviously different than this year. Altough last year we only got 2 title from 5 title that available.

I remember last year we got Bao Chun Lai beaten by Taufik Hidayat in the final, then we got all Indonesians final in men’s doubles, as for Lilyana Natsir/Nova Widyanto this year is like a replay of last year match, because they reach the final stage but got beaten and only got runner-up title..

And not only that, Malaysian Players sucess in this year also a slap in the face for Indonesia. Since Malaysia player coach is Rexy Mainaky – an Indonesian !!. Why no one recruit him? Rexy has done a lot of sucessful in his coach experience. UK/England has developed so fast because of him.

*sigh* I really hope Indonesian badminton won’t face another failure again…

graduation day..

•May 12, 2007 • Leave a Comment

For some people, the graduation day is reckoned as a sacred day. Since that day, we are officially done all of our duty to study all the time. To be honest, that was on my mind too. I feel that when we reach that day it means that we have done it. It’s like a finish line in a marathon and when we step on the finish line it feel like winning the marathon.

As the time goes by, I somekind of changing my point of view. I feel that, graduation is not a finish line but a it’s a starting line. It’s like, when we are at school and university we are in our comfort zone and all of us is a bit spoiled person. Since we don’t have to worry about anything but study. It’s like we are separate from the real world. All we have to think is how to get a good mark and stay away from trouble. But, right after the graduation actually we are thrown in a real world which completely different.

Once, my mom said that there’s nothing to be proud to be graduated if we don’t have the capabilty and skill to survive in the real world. Because being graduated doesn’s mean you can do a real thing in the real world. And, it turns out that what my mom said is true. Basically, altough we have the highest GPA ( cumlaude/summa cumlaude ) in the university when it comes to the real world called “job” we are nothing than a rookie. Somehow, we are make a mistake of our own, mess up with everything. Because face it, all we got from the university and the lecture is nothing but theory.

Ok, it doesn’t mean I asks all of you to be sad on your graduation day..but it just my thought. That when are are going to be graduated it means ” Welcome to the real world “

job interview (1)..

•May 12, 2007 • Leave a Comment

Just got a job interview on Friday. Honestly, it was a scary moment for me because this is my first job interview. And right in that moment, I really feel that I’m not in my comfort zone anymore…

Well, i got a phone call on Wednesay night, the person in phone said that I have to go to the Bank for an interview on Friday. Right after the phone call ended, I automatically send out a SMS to my friend ” H”. Since I reckon her as an expert I started to asked her a lot of job interview. To be honest, I take this job opportunity just for fun. I mean, I already planned to continue my school again so basically I got nothing to lose. But still, deep in my heart I want know how good I am.

Narcist ?Nope…that’s not what I think my feeling is. You know, after 3,5 years I spent in university, I really want to know if all the time that I have spent is doing me any good. That’s my only reason. Back to the interview, I have to go to the Bank at 8 oclock sharp.
So, on Friday, woke up at
6 am i then chose the right suit ( Well, I sort of believe that a right suit can make myself comfortable..)- the at 7.15 I took of from my house. Arrived at the bank at 7.45 – great i still ahve plenty of times to calm myself.

A coincidence there, I met my old friend from the university. Hm..not a “friend”actually. I never like her. Well, at first I feel nothing againts her. But, somehow she take me as a competitor and did a nasty thing to my friend. So, from that moment I feel different towards her. Apparently, she already got a call before. So, I asked her to tell me what was the interview like. From her explanation, I started to feel calm…but still, I still a bit afraid. Then 8.30 am, the manager of the Bank called me. So, I quickly stood up and walk to the room with him.

Arrived at the interview room, I greet Mr. “Dj”. Then, he asked whether I’m able to sepak Javanese or not. For your information, Javanese is also a languane, but its not an official languange in Indonesia. It’s a local languange. Then, I answered ” yes “. But, oh well…Mr. “Dj” didn’t speak Javanese even a bit..that made me nervous even more. As a person born and grow in Surabaya,it will be hard not to slip on some of “javanese Vocabulary ” when we are in a conversation. And it’s not good.

The summary of the job interview ? Mr. “Dj” only asked a regular questions like :
1. Why do you want to work in a bank ?
2. How much salary do you want ?
3. Have you been working before ?
4. What’s your final project about ?

If you think that it’s an easy question…well, for me it wasn’t that easy. Because of the nervous thing. Blah!
At the end of the interview, he said that this interview doesn’t mean a thing because what really decide whether I got accepted is the physiological test.

Still interested about the job result ? The anser I will addin the blog later. Since I have to wait for the 2nd phone call that tell me when I have to take the test..:)
